OUR VISION

Nurturing children’s well-being, self-esteem and confidence by providing a loving, peaceful and respectful environment, giving each child the time and space, they need to develop as individuals.  Children are free to choose and follow their own interests in a carefully prepared environment, designed to maximise each child’s potential.

Our specific Montessori materials are introduced to meet the needs and interests of the most enquiring mind, in a stimulating environment of challenges, allowing confidence to blossom with each newly acquired skill.

Our Teachers approach each child with a deep respect who consistently model the behaviour and attitudes they wish each child to display, whilst encouraging positive interactions, which inspires our supportive and peaceful community.

Maria Montessori

Alderley Day Nursery adopts the Montessori approach to learning, developed by Dr Maria Montessori through years of observation and practice. Built on a deep respect for the child and an appreciation of the special earning abilities a child has during the first 6 years of life, focus is placed on the creation of an environment rich in activities, allowing the child to teach themselves with support and guidance from knowledgeable adults.
