The importance of children eating the right balance of essential nutrients cannot be understated. Wherever possible local organic produce is used in recipes baked on-site to create nutritious “home-cooked” meals and snacks. With the benefit of our own vegetable garden, children have the ideal opportunity to experience the “earth to table” route first hand. Of course specific individual dietary requirements are also catered for.
For over 10 years our Super Chef David has been providing us with nutritious and delicious meals. The children love seeing him around the nursery and he shows such attention to detail with our recipes and dietary requirements.
Not only does he cook up all our delicious meals, he is also super good at substituting ingredients to cater for the multitude of dietary requirements we see today.
Organic fruit and vegetable produce is sourced as available and our meat is supplied by Chelford butcher AJ Boon, who source from local farms. Occasionally we can use produce from our very own vegetable patch which the children have full involvement in.
